Firefighting Tactical Training Exercises Conducted at the Odesa Branch of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority"
In accordance with the annual schedule of fire tactical readiness exercises and the applicable fire safety regulations, the Odesa Branch of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority" conducted comprehensive emergency response training to simulate the suppression of a fire in one of the port's administrative buildings.
During the exercise, the departmental fire brigade personnel practised response procedures for extinguishing a simulated fire in office premises located on the second floor of the building, using respiratory protective equipment, rescue equipment, and evacuation devices.
Particular emphasis was placed on the emergency response procedures to be followed by Branch personnel in the event of an emergency.
Specifically, the exercise focused on prompt emergency notification, coordination of evacuation activities, and the organisation and management of internal operational vehicle traffic.
In addition to the departmental fire brigade, the exercise involved personnel from the Maintenance Department, as well as specialists from the Maritime Security and Occupational Health and Safety Service.
Such exercises constitute an important element of ensuring a high level of fire safety and maintaining personnel preparedness for prompt and effective response to emergency situations.
