It is a great pleasure to congratulate you on our professional holiday.
For many of us, the Port of Odesa is far more than just a workplace. It is a part of our lives, part of our history, and our large professional family united by a shared passion for our work, a strong sense of responsibility, and devotion to the maritime industry.
Today, we live and work in extraordinarily challenging times. The war has changed the lives of every Ukrainian, bringing anxiety and hardship. Yet despite all these challenges, the Port of Odesa continues to operate. This is, above all, thanks to you—the people who come to work every day and perform their duties honestly, professionally, and conscientiously.
I sincerely thank each of you for your resilience, endurance, and commitment to your profession. Thank you for remaining at your posts even in the most difficult moments, for supporting one another, and for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of an enterprise that is strategically important for our country.
My special gratitude goes to our colleagues who are currently defending Ukraine as members of the Defence Forces. We are proud of your courage, believe in you, and eagerly await your safe return to your families and to our port community.
I also express my deepest appreciation to the command and personnel of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to your courage and selfless service, Ukrainian ports continue to operate, and our country continues to stand strong and fight for its future.
Throughout more than two centuries of its history, the Port of Odesa has overcome many hardships. And every time, it was saved by its people—strong, hardworking, and devoted. These qualities have always defined our team and continue to do so today.
I wish you good health, peace, family warmth, prosperity, and confidence in the future. May your homes always be filled with love and harmony, and may your hearts always hold faith in a peaceful and prosperous future for Ukraine.
