New Trade Union Committee: six months of real results for employees of the Odesa branch of the state enterprise «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority»
The Odesa branch of the state enterprise “USPA” held another meeting of the Commission responsible for reviewing applications for financial and social assistance. Chaired by Trade Union Chairman Valerii Botalov, the Commission considered employees’ applications, discussed current social protection issues, and approved financial assistance for members of the workforce.
Supporting employees’ social well-being remains one of the Trade Union’s key priorities and is ensured under the provisions of the Collective Agreement. During the first six months of the new Trade Union Committee’s work, 170 employees received financial assistance. Priority support was provided to employees whose property had been damaged as a result of missile and drone attacks, as well as to those requiring expensive medical treatment.
Another significant achievement was the conclusion of a medical insurance agreement with the Odrex Medical Centre.
The programme provides for partial or full coverage of medical services for port employees and also includes an emergency medical assistance service for members of their families.
The Trade Union Committee also pays particular attention to supporting employees’ families. This summer, children of port employees aged 2 to 14 have been given the opportunity to visit the Odesa Aquapark free of charge throughout the summer holidays.
