Repair works are ongoing at the berths of the Odesa Sea Port.
A comprehensive set of repair works is underway at the facilities of the Odesa Sea Port, aimed at maintaining the infrastructure in proper technical and aesthetic condition.
In particular, specialists from the Repair and Building Department of the Odesa branch of SE «USPA» are carrying out repairs of fender systems at a number of berths. These elements play an important role in ensuring the safe operation of cargo handling equipment and other vehicles at the berths. Due to prolonged service, certain structures have become inoperative; therefore, the port management has set the task of bringing the fender systems into compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring their proper appearance.
The repair works are presently underway:
- Berths №9 and №10 — repair of reinforced concrete fender systems totaling 278 meters, of which 40 meters are already in progress;
- Berth №12 — repair of metal fender systems with a total length of 197 meters, of which 37 meters are currently being worked on;
- Completed — repair of the fender section along the embankment of Kherson courtyard, totaling 53 meters.
In the near future, repair works are planned for the fender systems at berths №11 and №13, where the elements have lost their geometric shape and require renovation.
The repair works are part of a comprehensive program for the maintenance and modernization of port infrastructure, enabling the Odesa Sea Port to maintain a high level of safety and operational efficiency.
