The reconstruction of the second phase and preparations for the major repair of the third phase of the port overpass were discussed at the Odesa Sea Port
An on-site working meeting was held at the Odesa Branch of SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» regarding the reconstruction of the second phase and the major repair of the third phase of the port overpass.
The meeting was attended by the management of the Odesa Sea Port Authority, representatives of the Odesa City Council, and the general contractor — LLC ‘Group of companies AVTOSTRADA’.
During the meeting, organizational and technical issues were discussed, as well as the schedules for the execution of construction works.
According to the information of contractor, during the closure of traffic on the transport overpass, four main stages are planned: dismantling of structures (cornice blocks, leveling slab, railing and barrier fences), installation of reinforcement frames and formwork, concreting of the monolithic slab of the structure, and dismantling of the formwork.
It is also reported that construction work on the second phase of the transport overpass has previously been resumed. Completion of this work is planned for the second decade of August 2025.
In addition, on July 15th, a joint meeting was held at the Odesa City Council with representatives of the Odesa Branch of SE ‘USPA’, during which a temporary traffic scheme for heavy-duty vehicles on the city streets was approved for the period of the major repair of the third phase of the port overpass.
After the completion of the reconstruction of V. Blazhko Descent (formerly Marinesko Descent), the port overpass will be completely closed.
The approximate period for the execution of works is from July 28th to November 15th, 2025.
