The Odesa Branch of SE «USPA» has begun active preparations for the operations during the 2025–2026 autumn-winter period

In accordance with a specific directive from the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine regarding preparations for the operations during the 2025–2026 autumn-winter period, the Odesa Branch of the SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” has initiated the corresponding organizational work.

In accordance with the SE ‘USPA’ Order 'On organizing the preparation of the SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” for operations during the 2025–2026 autumn-winter period' and the Order of the Head of the Odesa Branch of SE «USPA», measures at the port have been launched to prepare for functioning under adverse weather conditions.

For this purpose, an operational meeting of the commission for the elimination of the consequences of snow drifts and ice was held. Representatives of all key units involved in ensuring the stable operation of the enterprise during the autumn-winter period were invited to participate.

During the meeting, a number of important issues were discussed, including:

  • the need to conduct technical inspections and rectify deficiencies at branch facilities that have sustained damage due to external factors;
  • the necessity for each unit to submit proposals regarding priority repair works, as well as requirements for equipment, machinery, and staff;
  • preparation of administrative buildings for winter operation by the engineering service;
  • monitoring the availability of anti-icing materials, including salt, with the possibility of procurement if needed in January-February 2026.

Special attention was paid to the procurement of materials for repair works, as tender procedures require time; therefore, submissions of applications must be made in advance.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform all responsible units and to develop timely, well-considered decisions to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the enterprise under potentially adverse weather conditions.

The Odesa Sea Port Authority continues to take proactive measures to ensure stable, safe, and efficient operations during the 2025–2026 winter period.
