The Odesa branch of SE «USPA» took part in a roundtable discussion on maritime security issues
Representatives of the management of the Odesa Branch of SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» took part in a roundtable organized by the Regional Office of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM).
A delegation of experts from the Integrated Border Management Units of the EUAM Central Office (Kyiv) and the EUAM Regional Office (Lviv) arrived in Odesa on a working visit. The event was also attended by representatives of state authorities responsible for ensuring maritime security.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the current situation in the field of maritime integrated border management, described existing challenges, and identified priority areas for further cooperation. In particular, the discussion emphasized the importance of joining efforts to ensure the stable and secure operation of Ukraine’s seaports.
Deputy Head of Operations of the Odesa Sea Port Authority, Volodymyr Bakhchyvanzhy, emphasized the key tasks of the branch, paying special attention to the need to strengthen measures for the protection of critical port infrastructure under martial law. He also expressed gratitude to the EUAM Regional Office for its fruitful cooperation and support, reaffirming the branch’s readiness to further develop their partnership.
