VISIT OF THE UKRAINIAN PORT DELEGATION TO THE PORT OF GDAŃSK
Within the framework of the International Maritime and Military Fair - BALTEXPO 2025, a working visit of the delegation of SE ‘Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority’ (SE ‘USPA’) and the Odesa branch of SE ‘USPA’ to the Port of Gdańsk Authority (Poland) took place.
The Ukrainian delegation has familiarized with the operations of one of the EU’s most dynamic ports, participated in a tour of the port waters, and reviewed infrastructure projects, including the Baltic Hub container terminal, which is being expanded to a capacity of 4.5 million TEU.
During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of further cooperation, namely:
- — From the Odesa branch of SE ‘USPA’ side - the exchange of experience regarding port operations under martial law and a challenging security situation;
- — From the Port of Gdańsk Authority side - the experience of strategic planning for the development of the Port of Gdańsk until 2060, as well as approaches to international cooperation and integration into European logistics chains for cargo supply and transit.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to work on the possible draft of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the sister ports of Odesa and Gdańsk, which will serve as a foundation for developing partnership relations and implementing joint projects in the field of port operations.
