THE ODESA SEA PORT CONGRATULATED THE VASYL VASYLKO THEATRE ON ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY
This year, the Odesa Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre named after Vasyl Vasylko celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding. The festive jubilee evening took place on 7 November in the theatre hall, bringing together numerous admirers and friends of the company.
Representatives of the Odesa Sea Port Authority took part in the celebration. On behalf of Dmytro Nazarenko, Acting Head of the Odesa Branch of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority,” the greetings to the theatre’s company were delivered by Hanna Chernobrodska, Head of the Port’s Department of Culture and History and Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
“We sincerely value our friendship with the Vasylko Theatre, which brings together labour and art, and we are proud that such a vibrant centre of Ukrainian culture is flourishing next to the port” , — noted Dmytro Nazarenko.
As a token of gratitude for many years of creative cooperation, the port staff presented the theatre’s orchestra with a drum set, which will become an excellent addition to the ensemble’s artistic repertoire.
The Odesa Sea Port Authority sincerely wishes the theatre’s actors, musicians, and entire creative team continued artistic success, grateful audiences, and many bright new premieres!
